I’m Tom Danielsen, I build homes for a living, and I also train other builders, so they can take advantage of the advancements in the building sciences over the past 20 years.
My expertise is in the application of building sciences.
This means I understand the science, and just as importantly, it means I know how to take those advancements and put them into the field, and create the procedures needed to build better homes.
Today, the three biggest problems in the building industry are:
- Builders who don’t understand key advancements in the science of building homes.
- Uncertainty about how to put those advancements into practice.
- And an aversion toward changing long-held habits in the way construction plans are executed.
This is where I come in — helping builders change their construction processes so they can build better homes.
How much better?
In my Habitat for Humanity Proof of Concept house my team and I delivered a nearly “Net-Zero” home for just a few cents more per square foot when compared with average building costs.
“Net-Zero” is when a home produces as much energy as it needs in a one-year time span, usually by having solar panels on the roof.
In the past “Net Zero” has always been extremely expensive to achieve. With my processes it will soon become commonplace and will disrupt the building industry in the best way possible.
Not only do I have procedures for new home building, I also do retrofits. Here are the four scenarios I deal with all the time.
You can hire me as a consultant to walk you through my proven procedures. Learning these processes will put you at the top of your local market of home builders.
